Call for Proposals: Center funds ALIC grants
The Center announces the Adolescent Literacy Innovation Collaborative (ALIC) Partnership Grant program. The goal of the ALIC Partnership Grant is to fund collaborative projects with school or community partners up to $5000.00 that systematically examine and reflect upon teaching and learning practices that impact adolescent literacy development using appropriate research methods.
The ALIC Committee awards grants to individual Cato College of Education faculty members or faculty groups (departments, colleges, programs, academies, or standing committees) who develop projects that seek to:
- Make significant curricular reforms or designing new curricula
- Initiate activities that would improve the quality of instruction in partnership schools, community organizations and/or UNC Charlotte teacher preparation and development programs.
- Conduct research that informs teaching and learning in adolescent literacy and learning
Proposals are due by April 30, 2026. The review team from the Center for Adolescent Literacies will respond and announce funding by May 13, 2026. Submit questions to Bruce Taylor at b.taylor@charlotte.edu.
